6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
This event will feature speakers Estefania Ospina, Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist, and Steve Wall, managing partner at Morgan Lewis.
Mr. Wall has addressed that the disease of addiction is nondiscriminatory — your professional status will not stop the disease. And, in fact, according to a 2016 study sponsored by the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation and the American Bar Association, lawyers suffer from alcoholism and other mental health issues at rates higher than in other professions.
Ms. Ospina is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and a minor in Child Development from The Florida State University, and a Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland at College Park. She has experience working with clients of all ages conducting individual, family, and couple’s therapy. She will address overcoming the stigma of mental health and the cultural challenges professionals of color face in all sectors.
Join GWAC and HBA-DC for a special event that will provide attendees with the opportunity to build balance and healthy habits in recognition that we succeed when we care for ourselves.
