Maryam Hatcher’s previous GWAC roles include President-Elect, Historian, Membership Chair, and Resident Blogger. In addition to serving in leadership roles in GWAC, she also serves in the following capacities for the D.C. Bar: Board Member, Board of Elections; Committee Member, Rules of Professional Conduct Review Committee; and Attorney Arbitrator, Attorney-Client Arbitration Board. Maryam is a member of the National Bar Association, the Washington Bar Association and, most recently, the National Conference of Bar Presidents.
Maryam is Counsel at American Petroleum Institute, and her practice area focuses on environmental litigation and antitrust compliance. Maryam is an honors graduate of Howard University School of Law where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Howard Law Journal. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and son.
